Jasmine Deming ’16 | Colonel’s drama club is starting back up again folks! Mr. Sousa wisely chose the popular movie-musical, The Little Mermaid! With a boisterous cast of characters, we’re sure that this year will be a true blue success.
I’m sure as everyone knows, the story goes that Ariel, daughter of the Mer-King, King Triton, wishes she was human and could walk amongst them on land. However, her father forbids it. Feeling devastated, she hires the help of a seawitch to aid her in gaining the things she’s always wanted — Legs! However, it comes with a price. She has to hand over her lovely voice. If she doesn’t get kissed by her true love by the third day, she’ll forever become enslaved to the seawitch.
With thrilling adventure, romance, and amazing musical numbers, we hope people will come to audition, or even better, come see it!
